About
Our Chairman Dr.
Mercer is an oral surgeon, with his practice located in Columbia, South
Carolina. He graduated from Vanderbilt University with a Bachelors
degree in Psychology and Mathematics, and completed his Doctor of Dental
Surgery at Ohio State University. Residency trained in general practice
and oral and maxillofacial surgery, Dr. Mercer completed a research
fellowship in the Department of Oral Pathology at the Medical College of
Georgia. He is board certified by the American Board of Oral &
Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Mercer is active in the industry, and serves
as Vice President of the South Carolina Dental Association, and is a
past President of the South Carolina Society of Oral & Maxillofacial
Surgeons. He is an active member of several local boards and is active
in the community. Dr. Mercer has been a member of the South Carolina
Patients’ Compensation Fund since 1988. |
